Ramadhan

Asalamualaikum,
As we pass the middle of Sha’baan and make preparation to welcome the Greatest Month in the Islamic Calendar: Ramadhan – we pray to Allah to grant us blessings in this month of Sha’baan and and let us reach Ramadhan. Aameen. Alhamdulillah, by the grace and mercy of Almighty Allah, the blessed month of Ramadhan has dawned upon us once again. As
you will be aware we continue to make efforts to improve the facilities and upkeep of the Masjid building and grounds. We
request that as a community we continue to support and maintain the General Masjid Fund for future planning by donating to
the annual £100 Ramadhaan Campaign. This has proved successful in prior years and allowed many individuals to contribute. We
pray that you may be rewarded well both in this life and the hereafter for your sincere efforts.
The Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وسلم) has said “A believer’s shade on the day of resurrection will be his charity.” (Ibn Khuzaymah)

On this page you will find useful information regarding the Masjid activities throughout the Month of Ramadhaan insha-Allah.

TARAWEEH PRAYERS
The first day of Ramadhan is subject to visibility of the new crescent of the Moon. Insha-Allah,
the Qur’an khatam taraweeh will be lead by Imam Zakaria and Mufti Mohius Sunnah.

FAJR AND MAGHRIB JAMAAT

Note that Fajr and Maghrib jamaat will start 15 minutes after Fajr start time and Iftaar time respectively.

IFTAAR IN THE MASJID
It is narrated that Zayd ibn Khālid al-Juhani said: The Messenger of Allāh (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: “Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.”

We request all of our community to take advantage of this blessed month by providing food at the masjid. Everyday dates and water as well as cutlery will be provided by the masjid Insha’Allāh.

Everyone is encouraged to either donate some money (we will use this to provide iftaar) or alternatively bring in some food to allow the brothers in the masjid to break their fast. The numbers vary but we expect there to be approximately 40 brothers in the masjid for Iftaar daily.

Suhoor is also provied in the last 10 days for brothers who perform Itikaaf – please take advantage to provide Suhoor for them too. In the past, families and friends have come together to jointly provide Iftaar & Suhoor.

Use the booking form below to reserve a slot for this coming Ramadhan. Use the description box to state if you will be donating or if you wish to provide the full Iftaar. If you wish to donate towards the Iftaar please use this Iftaar donation link:
