An Iftar event has been organised for Saturday 2nd June from 8:40pm which will take place in the HUT. There will be a short Ta’leem followed by Iftar and Maghrib salaah.
This is an opportunity to share food and gain knowledge for sisters. Everyone is requested to bring along their own iftar to share with others. Dates and water will be provided by the masjid.
Please note that as this is a sisters’ only event, only boys under the age of eight years may attend. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
We are currently collecting donations for Zakatul Fitr. If you would like us to have your fitrana distributed then please visit the office early so that we are able get the funds to those who need it before Eid.
It is compulsory for every Muslim to give Zakat-al Fitr before Eid Salah (Festival prayers).
Zakat-al-Fitr brings two major benefits: it helps the poor who may not have been able to engage in the Eid celebrations and also provides the one who has fasted with an opportunity to purify any errors made during the month of Ramadan.
Zakat al-Fitr (Fitranah) is calculated at £5 per person.
Please make arrangements to pay your Fitrana in good time so that Muslims may benefit across the world.
